For example, if you live in Alberta and you place an order with a store in Ontario, the Ontario HST (13%) will be applied to your order. If you place an order to be picked up in Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia HST (15%) will be applied to your order.

Effective December 1st, 2019 we may expire the electronic Canadian Tire Money (eCTM) in your Triangle Rewards Account in the event that there has been a period of inactivity of 18 months or more. “Inactivity” means that there has been neither a transaction in which you have collected eCTM, nor a transaction in which you have redeemed eCTM during the period in question.

We will commence the expiry of CT Money for inactive accounts as of December 1, 2019. This means that any account that neither collected nor redeemed CT Money since June 1, 2018 may be subject to expiry.

Registered members can log into their Triangle Rewards account via the Triangle.com website or use the Triangle app to see their transaction history. If you are not registered, you can register your card on Triangle.com to become a Triangle Rewards member. Yes, you will be notified if you are a registered Triangle Rewards member and have provided us with a valid email address. We will send you a notice of expiry at least 30 days but no more than 60 days prior to expiration of your CT Money. At that time, you will need to make an eligible transaction where you earn or redeem your CT Money to remain in active status. People holding unregistered Triangle Rewards cards are not yet members of the program, have not yet earned any electronic Canadian Tire Money and will not receive a notification of potential expiry since there is no way for us to contact you.

For Residents of Quebec: You may refuse the changes and cancel your membership in the Program by sending us a written notice no later than on August 31, 2019. However, if you do, all CT Money that you have collected but not redeemed will be cancelled.

In order to be “active” you must be engaging in a transaction that either earns or redeems CT Money. Activity is based on earning and redeeming CT Money in your Triangle Rewards account. You can earn or redeem by paying for qualifying transactions with a Triangle credit card or by presenting your Triangle Rewards card or Triangle App.

I want to merge my existing My Canadian Tire Money card with my new Triangle Rewards card. How does this work?

There are two easy ways to merge your cards: 
1) Download the Triangle app to your smart phone
2) Visit triangle.com/merge 

The merge process may take up to 24 hours. You can continue to use your new card to collect Canadian Tire Money, but won’t be able to redeem until the merge is complete. 

Please note: if any of the following apply to you, you will need to call a Triangle expert at 1-800-226-8473 in order to keep your personal information and data safe:
- You have registered your My Canadian Tire Money card as well as your new Triangle Rewards card under different emails 
- You have an Options Mastercard or Triangle Mastercard that is linked to card 
- You’re not the tech savvy type

Do you have a CanadianTire.ca or Triangle.com login? 

Yes: Great news! The email address and password associated with Canadiantire.ca or Triangle.com is used to sign in to the Triangle App.

Can’t remember the email you used? Call us at 1-800-226-8473 and one of our friendly customer service representatives will help you track it down.

*Forgot your password? Simply click “Forgot Password.” The option to call us is always available should you need further assistance.

No: Simply tap “Register Now” and follow the provided prompts. 


Have a Canadian Tire credit card or Triangle credit card?

Yes: Click “Register Now”, select the appropriate credit card, and follow the provided prompts. Note that:
• The email address you provide here will become your login for Triangle.com, the Triangle App and Canadian Tire.ca
• You will be able to view your Triangle Rewards transactions and offers

Once signed into the Triangle App, simply tap on “Accounts” and swipe to the credit card image. Sign in using your online account username and password, OR tap “Enrol” to create an online account profile for your Canadian Tire credit card.
